Week 1 - 16/11/2011 results

Welcome to the opening week,

Business as usual dawned upon us with both championship champions and league one champions getting off to a flying start. Reith Rovers despite a slightly different looking squad managed to take down the mighty Bodyworks West whilst Repucom tore through Refine United in our cup final revisited. Promoted Paddy power also cracked the Canvas code making them suffer. Los Perroflautas came from behind to take down relegated MSE and finally Chronicle Hackers defeated promoted side Red Star in what was a close contest.

Player cam:

Red star revival

After Adam and Novoa linked to put Hackers 3-0 ahead before the break it was Red Star who looked to live the championship dream with Andy and Mark scoring, unfortunately for them despite valid attempts to get it to 3-3 and a penalty shout 2 more from Hackers with Robert also getting on the act meant Star collapse.

Stop joking

Lee had MSE dare to dream as they went 1-0 ahead at the break. Yes MSE were in front and looked the better team, whilst newsreaders held the back page it was back to normal as the flamboyant Los P played some sexy football and spanked the MSE boys. MSE however all jokes aside look much more solid in the championship.

Goal of the day

Mario (Los P) with a cheeky lob over the keeper, well executed and fantastic.

5 a day

All Pitfield (Repucom) bursts back on the scene with 5 stunning strikes, I wouldn’t have expected anything less

H bomb

Harry (Reith Rovers) was key for Rovers today after Leroy got Bodyworks back level before the break it was the H bomb that erupted in the 2nd half as he scored 4 in total.

Crossbar club

Adam (Hackers) nutmegged his player to then go on and hit the bar, truly something special.

Tasty

Tom (Paddy Power) was finishing everything thrown at him, great interchange and a cool 4 goals as he looks to take some the golden boot award.

Showboat

Novoa (Hackers) some great flicks to then take it on the half volley.

Ally and Shaun (Repucom) were linking like icing on cake, so sexy and irresistible they have their own warning as they tear the 5 a side world apart.

The playmaker

Conor (Paddy Power) at the centre of every attack with picture perfect passing.

Dangerous debut

Husto (Los P) cracked 3 goals in 5 minutes as he just couldn’t do anything wrong, it was total football by Los P and they just shipped in goal after goal.

Man down

Canvas FC were left with Bank out of action for the last 2 minutes in what looked like a serious injury to the wrist, we wish him a speedy recovery.

Rock solid

James (Paddy Power) broke up Nathan and the big Nick as Canvas went searching for goals but found nothing.

Cruz (MSE) mad some big tackles when needed. Couldn’t help the Los P onslaught.

Brian Baker (Bodyworks West) great in the 1st half but Reith were too hot in the 2nd and he couldn’t do it alone.

Super saves

Dory Azzo (Hackers) was responsible for 3 points being secured as usual at the right place at the right time.

Deane (Reith Rovers) with his official debut was fantastic and Bodyworks West could have come away with at least 1 point or even all 3 had he not been in the sticks.

Team of the week

GK Deane (Reith Rovers)

DF Tom (Paddy Power)

MDF Novoa (Hackers)

AMF Husto (Los P)

FW All Pitfield (Repucom)
