It was a night where the spot light was on Banterlona as they took on two top table sides. With 2 wins Banterlona could have broken the mould but alas Banterlona were brought back to reality. Smart P picked up an easy 5-0 as Banterlona only mustered 3 players. Cheeky Beers also had 2 games in 1 night and they kept up their unbeaten run to remain top by 2 points, first they beat Versus Versus 9-3 as Duncan was awarded the man of the match award for his terrific hat-trick; their 2nd game was against Banterlona and they won that one 7-4 as Dan Hyde scored 4 times to take the MOM plaudit. Forza Delfino got their 2nd win of the season after they beat Unknowns in the final 2 minutes winning 4-3 as Paul Collard got the man of the match award for being so inspiring, Forza are looking to get into the top 6 and qualify for premiership football whilst Unknowns are just in the qualifying spots despite their loss. Vasco da Gama also got their 2nd win of the season in a repeat result 4-3 against Man Red. The winner had to be in dramatic fashion with a penalty in the final minute!

Dramatic ending!
Vasco were 3-2 up at half time despite going 1-0 down as David Jones scored early on for Man Red; Eloy Grana equalised for Vasco and from there it went back and forth as Sam put Vasco ahead but only for David Jones to equalise. Sam put Vasco ahead again just before half time to give his team the upper hand on their opponents. In the 2nd half Neil equalised for Man Red to level the score at 3 apiece to make the remainder of the game either teams for the taking! In the final minute Vasco were awarded a penalty by the official and it their captain Victor Cardozo who stepped up to take it; he didn’t bottle it like John Terry and he calmly slotted it in the bottom corner away from the keeper and it was the last kick of the game! What a finish.
Heartbreak Hotel
Forza Delfino were also 3-2 up at half time despite Unknowns taking an early lead through Mark Richmon-Watson. Paul Collard equalised and then put Forza ahead. Ian Osorio gave Forza a 2 goal lead on their opponents as he got his name on the score sheet but just before half time Ed Carter got a goal back for the Unknowns to make it 3-2 and keep them within touching distance. Mark got his 2nd goal of the game in the 2nd half to equalise for Unknowns and level the score at 3 apiece; with 2 minutes left Paul Collard took the game into his own hands by scoring the winning goal and taking all 3 points for his team. Cracking contest.
Wonder-man
Paul Collard (Forza) hit a left foot wonder strike into the top corner for his 2nd goal of the game.
Going solo
Duncan (Cheeky) went on a terrific solo run taking on 2 players to then slot into the bottom corner out of the keepers reach. Ronaldo eat your heart out
Man on a mission
Dan Hyde (Cheeky) controlled the ball well and then placed it in the far corner using his instep to beat the keeper. Dan was inspirational in both games and more steam than Thomas the Tank engine.
Crossbar club
Owen (Cheeky) hit the wood work 3 times in his game as he had a great eye for goal popping of shots from all sorts of distances.
Crucial
Sam (Vasco) perhaps hit the most important 2 goals in his career as he picked up the MOM award and helped deliver all 3 points.
Usain Bolt
Joel (Man red) was lightning quick in his game dribbling past opponents for fun as they couldn’t keep up with him.
Rock solid
Ian Osorio (Forza) made 2 challenges in the 1st half that were a bit late but in the 2nd half he improved his tackling a lot and won majority of them, definitely stepped his game up.
Victor Cardozo (Vasco) distributed the ball well from the back, a true captain’s performance.
Charlie (Cheeky) was very strong in the 2nd half getting stuck into the challenges and not letting anyone pass him.
Super saves
Daniel Lorenzato-Lloyd (Vasco) made 3 superb fingertip saves to deny Man red from getting back into the game as he kept his team in the lead.
George (Unknowns) performed well in between the sticks being very agile and light on his feet across his goal line.
