This week
It was all or nothing for Hoop Dogs this week as they faced a must win game against Crackers who were determined to take silverware. In what was our highest scoring game of the season Crackers walked away with it and are crowned season 3 indoor netball champions after they defeated Hoops. Athenas lost to Kensington Firebirds in a game separated by a point. Athenas and Hoops will battle it out for 2nd place on the final day but they do not go head to head. Finally JRP make it 4 wins out of 5 in an incredible end to the season, now in 4th they could finish as high as 3rd as they took down the Wonders in a fantastic game of netball

Fatal finish
The game on a knife-edge JRP had a 3 goal lead cut down to 1 with a long shot from Habin and Hannah W on the score sheet, as Wonders kept pushing their luck Kim and Carmen were there to keep the game at arm’s length but Wonders just kept fighting back but this time JRP didn’t throw it away and finished 19-17 victors
With Firebirds going into the final quarter 7-5 up a shock goal from Sophie sent Athenas into dream land, it was a game of solid defences as Erin and Dawn intercepted well for Athenas whilst Jess and Emma at the other end had no nonsense. Firebirds restored their 2 point advantage but Athenas were on their backs all the time, in the end Athenas couldn’t quite get it all back and lost by a point.
Goal of the day
Charlotte Habin (Wonders) and her long range loop that teased the rim before getting nothing but net
Comical moment
Centre pass Q2 by Hoops taken going the wrong direction, fantastic, all part of the Hoop Dog mind games.
Crouching tiger hidden dragon
Erin Graham and Dawn Hancock (Athenas) both were leaping around like they had springs in their shoes in what was a brilliant display at the back; they somehow didn’t manage to win
Finally
Kim Salmon living in the shadows of Carmen has gone unmentioned most of this season, but that isn’t because she isn’t good, oh no no no 55 points to her name and linking the centre to attack she is Mrs Assist and is responsible for either assisting or scoring most of JRP’s goals. Another cracker of a performance.
Just winging it
Aside from the 2 offside in Q1 and Q2 JRP really had their wingers shine with Asmeera and Jo clearly wanting to make a name for themselves in this absolutely radiant JRP squad.
Untouchable
Corrine Borrie (Hoops) 15/22 points in yet another incredible performance as she looks to reach the heights of international acclaim.
Not giving up
After Jasmin Keick (Wonders/Athenas) left the game in Q2 we all thought it was lights out all out in what looked like a horrific ankle injury, somehow someway she battled on not only to finish that game but to then play in the final game of the evening. Crickey!
Diamond in the rough
Quite rare for a GD to get an MVP award but Jess (Firebirds) picked one up as she cleaned up everything that dropped from the net and made some extreme blocks as Wonders just didn’t know what hit them
Clean intercept
Tracy Schapira (Hoops) made some incredible intercepts in Q2 and was matched by Sally who made her return to netball in Q2 for the crackers with some fine leaps and dives.
Centrific
The rotating Centres of Liz and Nora is what seemed to cause the Hoops the most problems as the Crackers have such a diverse squad and a sub Hoops met new opponents almost every quarter, so they registered for confused.com
