Hello All,
Welcome to the Liverpool Street and Whitechapel 5 a side league. After months of anticipation the greatest creation sinced sliced bread is here. This email is intended for all squad members to give you a rough idea of how the league works. Most of you have played in our jaw dropping leagues before but just in case you haven’t I am here to tie up all loose ends.
This league is played at 2 locations:
Weavers Fields, Viaduct Street, E2 ODR. Click here for pictures. Its a 5 minute walk from Bethnal Green station at 640 and 720pm. Changing facilties available
Whitechapel Astroturf, E1 3db. Click here for pictures. 8 minutes from Whitechapel and 5 mins from Stepney Green. At 720pm only pitches are free to warm up on from 7pm. Changing not available
Most of you live or work around the Liverpool Street area therefore these 2 locations were selected as both seem to be somewhat similar distance from the business hub. We also do not have late kick offs and all games are at a convenient time of 640 or 720pm. Those of you who have requested the 720pm times it has been noted but please be aware that if this time has been selected the majority of your games will be at Whitechapel, for the rest you should have an even split between both locations or slightly more games at Weavers.
The difference in the pitches
As mentioned in my previous emails Whitechapel is a bigger, longer and open pitch which means a few things:
Balls can go out of play
If this occurs you restart play with a roll in or a kick in below waist level.
Similarly there are corners which you can roll in or kick in but all must be below waist level
At Weavers fields its a purely caged game. Both pitches are Astroturf and therefore moulds, blades are allowed. NO METAL STUDS
Deposits and payments
In the very rare occasion your team cannot make a game you must provide 1 working days notice. This means by Friday 530pm if you know your team cannot make Monday you must inform us, if you do not deposits will become void. Those paying weekly must make £40 available to the match official at the end of each game we do not take card payments on site but if you wish to pay by card you can do so by ringing during our normal office hours and paying your match fees.
Fixtures and results
Fixtures have been attached directly beneath this paragraph its a spreadsheet that shows everything for the next 9 weeks. By Tuesday 12pm all results will go online and an email sent to your inbox this will contain the match summaries on the night. Please note we have 9 teams in this league which means 1 team at random rests every week, all teams play each other twice in the league which means the league will go on for 18 weeks. Originally it would have been 8 teams with a cup lasting 17 weeks so I hope the additional week is ok for everyone.

Paying up front
If you wish to pay for the league up front you can do this and receive 1 game free. This 1 game free option is only available until 9th January and most teams do adopt this option after our first email.
