Liverpool Street/Whitechapel kicked off their season tonight with all 8 teams showing up eager and full of alcohol from the New Year!
Jabroni FC went straight to the top of the league after their comfortable 7-1 victory over Santander who struggled to cope with the rules. Show Hoffs sit 2nd in the league table after beating The Camels 5-3 with Aaron Coultate shining to take the MOM award after getting a great double. ICM Athletic somehow beat Milliman Fc 2-0 managing to keep the only clean sheet of the night as Titch scored both goals giving him the MOM award. The best game of the night was a 12 goal thriller between THMS and Llama’s as they shared a point in a thrilling 6 all draw!

Comeback Kings!
THMS were 4-2 up at half time after Louis “rampage” Robinson scored a 1st half brace whereas Dan Bladen and Max Nijhawan got a goal each to their name before the break, Bart got both goals for Llama’s giving them some hope of getting back into it in the 2nd half. Louis Robinson completed his hat-trick as the 2nd half started and TMHS were all smiles. Llama’s then started a comeback scoring the next 3 goals to make it 5 apiece as Billy, Ian Gilbert and David Shaw went on mission impossible 5 a side protocol. THMs were shocked but once again Louis Robinson thought he saved the day as he put his side in-front. Then Ben “ravishing” Roberts checked into heartbreak hotel as he snatched a point for his team scoring the equaliser with moments left in the game.
Penalty, penalty, penalty
Jabroni had a few goals that were gifted to them as Santander just strolled into the D box on occasion.
Tale of 2 halves
ICM Athletic cruised into the half time break with their 2 goal lead after the so called Titch took the game into his own hands scoring both goals for his team. In the 2nd half the roles were reversed as captain charisma Carl “the gaffer” Gaffney must have said something as Milliman should have brought it to level terms.
Wasted Chances rued
The Camels must be kicking themselves in the shins as they lost their game this evening to Show Hoffs despite having the majority of the chances in the game! They could have scored at least 5 times in the 1st 10 minutes but couldn’t convert any whereas Show Hoffs converted 3 from 3. In the end Camels do deserve some mention as they attempted the miracle on Whitechapel high road scoring 3 goals in 3 minutes with Jez and Mike unfortunately time was not on their side as. Hoffs hang on.
Netbusters
Bart (Llama’s) dispossessed an opponent to then dribble forward and calmly slot home past the keeper with his right foot into the bottom corner.
Rob Chesworth (Jabroni) scored an exquisite volley with his right foot 1st time stroking it across the keeper!
Charlie Watson (Show Hoffs) scored a delicious curling strike bending it into the far corner out of the keepers reach. His 2nd was also something to shout about as he struck a bullet from range that nearly broke the posts.
Showboat
Louis Robinson (THMS) dominated the midfield from start to finish being very energetic to score 4 goals and making some great tackles at the back.
Shaun Gibson (ICM) made some great passes using good vision and some lovely technique weighting the passes perfectly.
Joe Hanmer (Jabroni) ran the show from start to finish using his quick feet to take on defenders for fun using both feet and Santander found it hard to tackle him.
Honourable Mention
Jeremy and Matt of The Camels gets an honourable mention for working his socks off for his team keeping his team encouraged at all times and showing a never say die attitude!
Rock solid
Ben Roberts (Llama’s) made a great tackle on Max dispossessing him cleanly and starting a counter attack for his team mates!
Aaron Coultate (Show Hoffs) was a rock at the back for his side getting stuck into the challenges from beginning to end!
Super saves
Luke Parker Hodds (Jabroni) will be disappointed with himself as he didn’t keep a clean sheet but made a lot of saves to keep his opponents out until the last 5 minutes where he was finally beaten.
Gary (Show Hoffs) made 2 critical saves at the end of his game denying The Camels an equaliser in the dying moments.
Lawrie Wright (THMS) denied Llama’s from being level with them at half time keeping out Bart to deny him from completing his hat-trick.
