Week 6- 20th Feb

TMHS went to the top of the Liverpool Street and Whitechapel league this week after they absolutely spanked London Phoenix 14-0 with man of the match Louis Robinson scoring a triple hat-trick stealing the show single handily! ICM Athletic remain in 2nd place after they cruised to victory against Show Hoffs as Shaun Gibson got his 1st MOM award of the season due to his terrific hat-trick. Llama’s played out a 2 all draw against Camels with all 4 goals coming in the opening half! Santander were left flapping in the wind in the most hilariously timed forfeit ever and Milliman sympathetically had to be given the 3 points, apologies to Milliman here nothing we could have done about this one..

Whitewash

London Phoenix spectated their game from start to finish as TMHS were on top form and not in the mood to show any sympathy as they played their opponents off the pitch for 40 minutes. Louis Robinson scored a triple hat-trick, Ben scored a double and then Lawrie Wright, Ed Gosnall and Max Nijhawan all got a goal to their name.

First half comeback

After Jez and Mike had put the Camels ahead it looked like it would be all simple for the Camels but the Llamas had other ideas as the beast was unleashed with Andrew and James pulling it all back and they even had the cheek to try and make it 3-2 before the break. Llamas did well but no goals in the 2nd half meant the points were shared with James hitting the best strike of the evening and being rewarded with an MOM.

Show me the money

Adrian (Show Hoffs) showed a lot of composure in front of goal after going on a great run to then slot into the bottom corner for a late consolation.

Blink of an eye

Louis’ (TMHS) 1st goal was that quick from kick-off that the camera’s missed it! Next time the official will be 100% prepared!

Goal of the day

James Collins (Llama’s) flicked the ball up and round his opponent to then strike 1st time on the volley and rifle it past the keeper!

Testing 1..2

Mike McHale (Camels) had a great eye for goal as he popped shots off from any angle or distance to test the keeper and see how safe his hands were. L

Showboat

Louis Robinson (TMHS) ran the show from start to finish dictating the pace of the game and setting up his team mates numerous times for shots on goal.

Too easy

Shaun Gibson’s (ICM) 3rd goal was quality as he dummied his opponent to then finish superbly into the side netting.

Rock solid

Adam Hanim (Show Hoffs) worked really hard for his team in his match getting up and down the pitch continuously being full of energy and getting stuck into the tackles.

Tom Andrews (Camels) was strong at the back for his team sweeping up the loose passes and distributing it well to team mates for a counter attack.

Super saves

George Tucker (Camels) made some excellent stops throughout his game to keep the score all square as both teams searched for a winner.

Chris Menzies (ICM) had a safe air of hands in his game showing excellent handling of the ball and being aware at all times.
