Week 6

Once again it’s a change in the table as the yo-yo Westway league continues. Unbeaten JMS hit the dirt this week and started their tumble down the table with a shock defeat to Iron Men. Blue Merlins capitalised and went to the top of Westway league after they cruised to victory against winless Independently Challenged with man of the match John M scoring a hat-trick. Go Entertainers absolutely spanked Bazaar Voice 18-2 as Leigh Webb scored 8 to take them into 2nd spot.  3 points separate the top 4

Dominated

Go Entertainers waltzed past Bazaar scoring 18 times and only conceding twice, man of the match Leigh Webb scored 8 of them, Tom James added 7, Chris Reynolds got a double and Steve got his name on the score sheet to round up the goals. Im pretty sure Stevie Wonder would have scored if he was playing!

Netbusters

Lee Pybus (JMS) struck a brilliant shot from long range that flew into the back of the net as his team were playing for pride.

Total football

4 players from Iron Men got their names on the score sheet this week and just to show you it was all going their way they even got an own goal which rebounded of the board and hit the keeper to round up the 5th.

Move of the day

Andrew Nisbet (IC) scored his team’s only goal and he finished off some lovely build up play from other member’s in the team contributing.

The day of John

John and Jonny scored for Iron Men and then  John and John M both scored Hat tricks for Merlins. Then to add to the spice Jon Bird scored one for Bazaar

Lightning

Chris Reynolds (Entertainers) finished his goal well placing it into the bottom corner to finish off a quick counter attack that caught the opposition napping!

Showboat

Scott Carse (JMS) was turning one way and another in his game to make opponent’s dizzy as they couldn’t stop his quick feet.

Tom (Merlin) showed good dribbling ability using close ball control and a quick change of pace to leave his marker for dead.

Not quite there

Gary Barker (Bazaar) didn’t have his shooting boots on today despite getting 1 goal, he usually gets a few more once he gets off the mark!

Rock solid

Tom Bosworth (JMS) was strong in defence for his team using his long legs to dispossess the opposition but couldn’t do it all himself.

John M (Merlin) was full of energy as he scored a hat-trick at one end and defended well at his own end to protect his goalkeeper.

Super saves

Carl Delaney (Iron) made some cracking one on one stops to help Iron Men to a victory.
