Playfiveaside Ltd approached Castlehaven Community Association to redevelop its desolate tarmac space. It was a magnificent space but was very under utilised and Playfiveaside along side Castlehaven saw the potential of redeveloping the space.
After lengthy negotiations Castlehaven set several conditions:-
A new 9 a side football pitch was developed that could be divided via netting into 3 5 a side pitches. Markings were provided for both hockey and netball and the storage space next to the football pitch was converted into a tuck shop office to allow for site management.
Playfiveaside continues to run and manage this facility 9am-10pm Monday-Sunday with hours dedicated in this for community use and school hire.

Contract Completion date: June 2016
After being recommended to Lollard Street, Playfiveaside conducted several meetings with trustees and management to ensure all concerns were met prior to engagement.

A surface was created to ensure the requirements of management were met and in laid lines for short tennis, netball and football were made part of the brief.
Due to the scale of the project the development was completed in 2 weeks.
Following the development of the sports pitch a reinforced fence and new netting was required to prevent balls from entering resident property. This was also fully funded by Playfiveaside.
Playfiveaside continue to operate and manage all bookings at Lollard Street Adventure Playground Monday-Sunday making special exception for community and school hire which take priority.

Investment: Fencing, Netting, and Floodlighting funded by Playfiveaside
Contract Completion date: March 2012
Playfiveaside’s first project came about purely by accident. After walking past the playground Playfiveaside management saw a new football pitch being constructed but the football pitch did not have any surrounding fencing or floodlighting.
After approaching the playground and discussion with the management explaining the long-term revenue benefits of adding floodlights, netting, and fencing, Weavers became Playfiveaside’s first partners.
Due to planning restrictions Playfiveaside can only operate between 6-8pm Monday-Thursday but the revenue generated from lettings has provided crucial funds for Weavers to continue operation to the present day.

Contract Completion date: August 2017
Abdi contacted Playfiveaside after a recommendation from a former employee. After 2 site meetings the brief was simple. Build a play space for the kids that allows for multisports. Behind this area build a social area using lawn grass.
